The project, located on an old riverbed, consists of a gabled volume offset from each other, which contains in the center the common living, dining and wood-burning kitchen area, while at the ends there are two bedrooms with their respective bathrooms. Under the break in the roof, a loft was created to accommodate visitors.
Hualles, rocks and trunks covered with lichen and ferns are predominant in the forest where the volume is inserted. In order to take advantage of this context, a central space was designed to be as open as possible, with six meters wide glass panels, four meters of which are open and the interior is connected from side to side, seeking to dilute the boundary between interior/exterior. In order to further emphasize the relationship with the surrounding context, a deck was designed that crosses the volume transversally, and addresses the different levels of the terrain, allowing some trees to pass through and embracing a local rock. The volume was clad in stained and burned wood using the "Shou Sugi Ban" method, while the deck was clad in local stone.
